Pair French Antique Empire Double Eagle Head & Tazzle Appliques Detail 4573

Large pair of antique French Empire style wall sconces with eagle head and tassel detail. The tall back plates are decorated in a twisted rope effect with tassel detail at the bottom. The arms are also in a twisted rope effect with an eagle head where the arm attaches to the back plate. The arms lead to raised round candle holders and the candle drops are in cream. There is a fixing hole at the top of each sconce to secure to the wall once installed. The sconces are in good antique condition with a deep time worn patina and marks to be expected. They have been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on their finish. They are wired with French twin core wiring and each take 2 small screw in E14 bulbs. All the items we sell are second hand/vintage/antique and used so please check the pictures before purchasing as they form part of the description.
