Old flamed stoneware bottle — Ringed neck, ribbed body

Stoneware bottle, found in Touraine. It was likely used for wine, cider, or oil, and comes from a regionally produced handmade craft. Ovoid body striated by turning, long neck finished with a ring. During firing, the flame left a large pink area on the sand-colored clay. Glazed on the inside, it holds water; a single branch is enough to make it a vase. Condition: good condition, signs of use and irregularities typical of a handmade piece. Dimensions: Ø 18 × H 36 cm.
