Spectacular ancient baoulé mask from côte d'ivoire, circa 1970. Small rounded horns, pupils and teeth in relief circled with red. It is a so-called junior party mask worn by a teenager at gatherings, music and dance. Note, engraved on the surface at the top of the forehead, the mention ivory coast traced by hand. Provenance of an artist's studio in paris 14. Dimensions total height 46cm, diameter 27cm. Thickness 5cm. Can be mounted on a stand. It was suspended from the wall by a thin wire that I gladly join. The power of intention of tribal art and the splendor of abstraction. The great beauty.
