This compact Scandinavian sideboard from the 1960s beautifully demonstrates how functional design and craftsmanship come together. The cabinet has a clear structure with two sliding doors on either side and two centrally placed drawers, giving the piece a calm and balanced appearance. The furniture is made from solid teak and teak veneer. The warm wood tone and lively grain provide a natural look characteristic of Scandinavian design from this period. The two drawers are a special detail in the design. The fronts are slightly wavy and feature organically shaped wooden handles. This subtle sculptural line gives the furniture character without losing its calm design. Inside, the drawer bottoms are lined with dark green velvet, a refined detail that combines nicely with the warm teak tone. Behind the sliding panels is practical storage space for books, tableware, or other home accessories. Thanks to the sliding doors, the furniture remains compact in use and suitable for various spaces in the home. The cabinet stands on a minimalist base with four slender oak legs, giving the whole a light and elegant appearance. In our workshop, this sideboard has been carefully renovated. Old finishes have been removed and the wood has been rebuilt and nourished with a matte furniture oil. This finish allows the teak to breathe and brings the natural color and grain back to life. With purchase, you will receive instructions with matching furniture oil to keep the piece in top condition.
