Vintage ceramic vase, Italy, 1971

Vintage ceramic vase with blue peacock feather motif, made in Italy in 1971-72. Hand-painted Italian majolica albarello with a traditional peacock feather design. An albarello is a special cylindrical bowl with a narrow size and a short neck, historically used as a pharmacy container for storing herbs and medicines. Very good vintage condition. There is a signature from the artist Ribelli Ambba. The vase was created at the State Art School of Gargniano.
