Michèle Van Hout-le-Beau worked with numerous workshops in Aubusson during the 1960s and 70s and received many public commissions. She participated, along with Soulages, Lagrange, Alechinsky, and others, in the decoration of Air France's Boeing 707 transatlantic flights. Her palette often revolves around strong, very 1970s colors, upon which stylized foliage, figures, or animals unfold. (See the Aubusson website).
