Pair of Méribel chairs designed by Charlotte Perriand in the 1940s for the furnishing of the Méribel ski resort in the French Alps. The ash structure consists of four log legs connected by an X-shaped stretcher, a curved backrest, and a straw seat. This is an early version published by BCB. Charlotte Perriand also used this model in her own chalet in Méribel, which she had built from 1960. Edition: BCB, circa 1950.
