"Exceptional lithograph by Pablo Picasso, titled 'Colourful Bird' (or 'Madoura Ceramics'), printed in 1967 by the famous Atelier Mourlot. This is a rare proof before the letter (before the addition of text), printed on high-quality Vélin d'Arches paper. This work was originally created for the poster of the exhibition 'Madoura Ceramics and Original Editions' at the Lucie Weill Gallery (Pont des Arts, Paris). Unlike common posters printed in 1000 copies, this copy is part of a strictly limited edition of 100 numbered copies. Details of the work: Subject: Stylised bird on a textured background (evoking the ceramics of Vallauris). Numbering: 84/100 in pencil (bottom left). Printer: Atelier Mourlot (the historical lithographer of Picasso, Matisse, Chagall...). Year: 1967. Catalogue raisonné reference: Czwiklitzer no. 319. Dimensions: approx. 54 X 53 cm (sight) + frame. Framing: Modern fine black frame, ready to hang.".
