Magnificent collector's plate in Canton porcelain with a celadon green background, dating from the 19th century (Qing period, c. 1820-1850). This authentic period piece is distinguished by the finesse of its hand-painted decoration in Famille Rose enamels. The central decoration is very rich and features traditional Chinese symbolism: • Fauna: An exotic bird with long orange plumage and stunning butterflies with detailed wings. • Flora: Generous relief peonies, as well as auspicious fruits (longevity peaches and pomegranates). • Finish: Original gilding highlights on the plumage, the heart of the flowers, and on the border trim. Details and authenticity: • Presence on the back of a blue underglaze shop mark. • Base with a raw foot showing signs of iron oxidation and small wood firing pits typical of export porcelain from this period. Condition: Very good overall condition. Note a small roughness on the edge (see photos). This is a normal firing defect from the period (the workshop gilding goes over it), which attests to its handmade production and authenticity. No cracks, no restoration. Please note discreet chips and superficial wear on the relief decorations (peony photo) visible only when observing the piece very closely. The overall condition remains superb for its age. Dimensions: 23x23cm, height 3cm. Carefully packaged and ultra-secure shipping.
