Salt-glazed stoneware vase from Betschdorf by Fortuné Schmitter – cats, moon and star

Very pretty vase made of genuine Alsace salt-glazed stoneware, created by the Poterie Fortuné Schmitter in Betschdorf. This beautiful piece features an original and poetic design depicting two cats under a crescent moon, surrounded by numerous stars, all enhanced with various shades of cobalt blue. The decoration is worked in relief and engraved directly on the stoneware, with the characteristic finish of Betschdorf pottery. A lovely piece of Alsatian craftsmanship, both decorative and authentic, which will suit a collection of Betschdorf pottery as well as vintage decor.
