Antique Chesterfield Leather Bankers Swivel & Tilt Office Chair, 1930s

Extremely comfortable chesterfield leather office chair, bankers chair, around 1920-1930. The original cast iron swivel mechanism, which is embossed with patent, allowing it to rotate 360 degrees and has adjustable tilt movement, that means it can recline backwards adjustable to the weight of the person. The seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The base with splayed legs is in solid oak. The thick and deep rich english leather is in superb condition and has a great natural patina in a stunning color tone of braun and cognac. Lowest height – 80 cm. Tallest height – 90 cm. Lowest seat height – 46 cm. Tallest seat height – 56 cm. Light wear consistent with age and use, good working condition easy movement system the leather is cleaned, revived and polished. The mechanism is cleaned and serviced there is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair.
