Persian carpet ghoum (or gum, khum...), city in central persia (iran) renowned for its carpets of the highest quality. Entirely hand-knotted in "silk silk" (warp, weft and silk velvet), circa 1940-1960. The carpet is decorated with a gray central medallion on a tobacco background with a pattern of multicolored flowers. A yellow border with garlands of flowers is framed by two gray counter-borders. Good condition. 137 X 84 cm.
