The fierce Medusa with her snake hair adorned with the emblematic Naked Summers shell on the forehead, and the oceanic flower on the rim, painted in light blue colour. In the artist's interpretation, Medusa was never turned into a monster as a punishment. It was an act of sacred protection. The ability to turn her enemies into stone was not a curse but a gift. Her fierce appearance guards her pure soul. A divine transformation and rebirth. This series of hand-painted vases is painted in harmonious, muted tones, celebrating the timeless connection between heritage and modernity. The terracotta clay is both material and metaphor. A grounding surface that allows the archetypes to be reborn under the Mediterranean sun. Terracotta clay, pigment colour, glazed. Designed and hand-painted by Christina Mandilari. Wheel-thrown in Athens. Approximate dimensions: diameter 11 cm × height 27 cm.
