Designed by Yngve Ekström in the 1950s, the “Rytm” coffee table is distinguished by its organic, asymmetrical teak top, with a curved profile ending in two distinctly pointed tips. The black lacquered wood structure beneath consists of tapered legs connected by slender stretchers, creating a strong contrast with the warm teak surface. Small dark circular inserts left visible on the top further emphasize the construction of the design. Produced by Westbergs Möbler of Tranås, the table reflects Ekström’s exploration of organic forms and structural lightness, central themes in his contribution to post-war Swedish design.
