This extending dining table was manufactured in Denmark during the 1960s. The model is an excellent example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design, combining a clean, elegant form with outstanding functionality. Its distinctive pedestal base with twin column supports and subtly sculpted solid tabletop edges give the piece a sense of visual lightness and timeless appeal. Crafted from rosewood with beautifully figured natural grain, the table is fitted with a practical extension mechanism featuring an extension leaf stored neatly beneath the tabletop, allowing the usable surface to be enlarged quickly and effortlessly. The table has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in a rosewood colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer. This finish enhances the natural beauty of the wood, highlights the depth of its grain, and provides long-lasting surface protection.
