Sculptural Italian vase

Sculptural vintage Italian ceramic vase attributed to Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello Ceramiche, dating from the 1960s–1970s. The vase features a striking modernist composition, with a tall rectangular vertical element flowing into a dramatic curved base. Its glossy glaze combines warm burnt orange, rust, ochre and golden tones, producing beautiful variations depending on the light. The underside bears the hand-painted blue model number 824. The distinctive sculptural form and glazing are consistent with the experimental Italian ceramic design associated with Bertoncello and Roberto Rigon during the post-war period. As the piece does not carry a clearly visible factory stamp or signature, it is conservatively offered as attributed to Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello. Dimensions: Height: approx. 25 cm. Maximum width: approx. 19 cm. Weight: approx. 920 g. Condition: Good vintage condition overall, with two small chips, clearly shown in the photographs. These do not affect the structural integrity or overall decorative appearance of the piece. An unusual and highly decorative example of Italian Mid-Century and Space Age ceramic design.
