Two charming views of the port of Les Sables d'Olonne dated on the back August 1917 and signed at the bottom left (signature to be deciphered). They were created on wood, one depicting the port at sunset and the other the arrival of the catch with women in traditional headdresses queuing in front of the boat. Note a slight warping of one of the panels. The paint layer has been cleaned and is now noticeably brightened.
