Ice size: 40 X 31.5 cm. Maison bouche was a renowned framing house. Located in paris, this framer occupied a special place from the 1910s to 1950s with his production of frames called "montparnasse". Recognisable among all, these frames are particularly sought after by collectors — their scarcity in the market is proof of this. The family business was founded by george bouche. A former student of architecture at the school of fine arts in lyon, he became a painter who exhibited at the salon d'automne and the salon des indépendants. He was led to think and create frame models adapted to the new current of painting at the beginning of the century. His production, very original, is a testimony to his contribution to the art of framing.
