Set of 3 wall sconces in metal and glass, Europe, 1960s. Set of three wall sconces, probably from the 1960s, with a design that strongly echoes the work of Finnish designer Alvar Aalto. The soft, organic lines and the way light is diffused—without directly exposing the bulb—closely align with Aalto's approach to warm and functional lighting. At the same time, the layered construction and silhouette also recall designs by Louis Poulsen, and the quality of craftsmanship suggests it could potentially be an early Philips production. The light source is cleverly concealed behind a series of concentric metal rings, creating a soft, indirect glow and casting striking shadows on the wall. The result is a very pleasant light—atmospheric without being harsh or direct. The subtle color contrast adds visual interest, making the lamps stand out even when they are off. A well-balanced and sculptural set that naturally fits into a modern Scandinavian or Japandi-inspired interior. Dimensions. Width: 40 cm. Height: 26 cm.
