Elegant coffee table made in Tuscany by JR Arredamenti d'Arte (Jorio Roberto), a renowned workshop in Prato specialising in high-end decorative furniture and artisanal wrought iron work. This spectacular piece combines three noble materials: wrought iron, artistic ceramics, and glass. Its design is inspired by the Italian Liberty style (Art Nouveau), featuring an airy structure composed of scrolls, intertwined rings, and elegant hand-twisted elements. The structure has a gold finish with a patinated appearance that highlights the relief of the metal and emphasises the artisanal character of the whole. At the centre is a large decorative ceramic bowl in burgundy, terracotta, and deep brown tones. Its geometric decoration evokes certain Italian decorative traditions and creates a remarkable contrast with the lightness of the glass. The thick rectangular glass top fully reveals the wrought iron work and the central bowl, making this table a true sculptural piece as well as a functional piece of furniture. Produced in the 1990s, this creation reflects a period when Tuscan workshops combined traditional craftsmanship with prestigious decorative furniture aimed at an international clientele.
