Very large “tree of life” brutalist floor candelabra, 1970s. An impressive large floor candelabra made from wrought iron, standing no less than 220 cm tall. Often referred to as a “Tree of Life”. Designed in a Brutalist style, the piece features an organic, tree-like structure with numerous irregular, twisting branches extending upwards from a central stem. The candelabra holds 13 candles, each supported by a small, individually positioned iron dish. The branches have a natural, almost sculptural appearance, giving the piece an interesting silhouette from different angles. The base is formed by four spreading iron legs, continuing the organic character of the design. The iron has been left untreated, retaining its original raw metal surface with visible forging marks, natural variations and a dark patina. This unfinished appearance is an important part of its Brutalist character. With its considerable height and distinctive handmade appearance, this candelabra works equally well as a functional candle holder or as a freestanding sculptural object. A striking piece of metalwork that combines traditional craftsmanship with an expressive, organic design. Measurements: Height: 220 cm. Diameter (+/-): 85 cm.
