We are proud to present a unique and sustainable piece of Mid-Century design. Originally the top extension of a classic 1950s Art Deco sideboard from Poland, this piece has been expertly upcycled in our specialized workshop into a highly elegant, independent wall-mounted display cabinet. Design and Craftsmanship. The silhouette of this piece features smooth, aerodynamic curves, characteristic of the Streamline Moderne aesthetic. The absolute highlight of this cabinet is its curved corners. Instead of using a single piece of bent glass, the transparent curves are formed by delicate, vertical glass slats. This is an incredibly rare, highly complex artisanal detail that beautifully refracts light and adds a distinct jewelry-like quality to the furniture. The central section is enclosed by smooth-gliding sliding glass doors and features a glass shelf inside. Uncompromising Upcycling. What sets this custom piece apart from standard vintage conversions is the exceptional attention to detail. Upcycled sideboard tops usually have raw, unfinished bottoms that look unsightly when hung on a wall. To ensure absolute perfection from every viewing angle, we meticulously veneered the entire underside of this cabinet. It looks flawless and luxurious even when hung high above eye level. Restoration and Finish. The cabinet has undergone a comprehensive restoration. All old varnishes were stripped down to the bare wood. The beautiful oak veneer was then stained in a warm walnut tone and treated with premium hard wax oil. This provides a natural, satin-matte finish that allows the wood to breathe, highlights the grain, and protects the surface against moisture, heat, and daily use. Heavy-duty wall mounting brackets have already been installed on the back, making it completely ready to hang. Versatility. With a depth of only 26 cm, this cabinet will not overwhelm your living space.
