Upcycled Art Deco Walnut Wall Cabinet with Engraved and Slatted Glass - 193

We are incredibly proud to present a highly functional, micro-architectural marvel of 1930s European design. Originally the top extension of a pre-war Art Deco sideboard, this piece has been expertly upcycled in our workshop into a compact, independent floating wall cabinet. At only 98 cm wide and 28 cm deep, it is the ultimate space-saver for modern apartments. DESIGN AND CRAFTSMANSHIP The layout is truly remarkable and showcases top-tier 1930s craftsmanship, divided into three distinct zones: The Central Zone: A display area enclosed by smooth-gliding sliding glass doors that feature authentic, hand-engraved floral motifs. The Side Zones: The gracefully curved corners are not fixed glass. They are independent, hinged doors constructed from multiple vertical glass slats. Each of these slatted doors features its own working lock and key. This level of intricate carpentry and glasswork is exceedingly rare. UNCOMPROMISING UPCYCLING To ensure perfection from every angle, we completely constructed and meticulously veneered the underside of the cabinet with premium walnut. Unlike standard upcycled pieces with raw bottoms, this cabinet looks flawless and luxurious even when hung high above eye level. The top surface features a beautiful book-matched walnut veneer pattern. RESTORATION The cabinet has undergone a comprehensive restoration. All old varnishes were stripped down to the bare wood. The piece was then finished with premium eco-friendly hard wax oil. This provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the grain and protects the surface against moisture and daily use.
