Round oak side table with light laminate top and lower shelf. Swedish production by Ferdinand Lundqvist, 1950s-1960s. Produced in Sweden for Ferdinand Lundqvist between the 1950s and 1960s, this round side table belongs to the furniture production of the historic Gothenburg department store, which had its own furniture department directed for several decades by Nils Enström. The table combines an oak structure with a light laminate top, featuring a subtle beige pattern and framed by a wooden edge, a combination of materials characteristic of post-war Swedish furniture. The four legs, gently tapered towards the bottom, connect directly to the circular structure beneath the top and run alongside the lower shelf, also crafted in oak and shaped around each leg. Wood thus becomes prominent again in the lower part of the table, echoing the edge of the top and further highlighting the light laminate surface through contrast. The original Ferdinand Lundqvist label is still present, documenting the table's provenance. Good condition. It may show some signs of age and use. Please pay close attention to the photographs.
