Desvres earthenware stoup, 1980

Here is an adorable holy water font like we used to find hanging near the bed in the past. In a pretty Celadon blue color, in Desvres earthenware, signed Gabriel Fourmaintraux (recognized by the sun stamp adorned with the initials gf). Gabriel Fourmaintraux managed the family earthenware factory (in Desvres in the north of France) from the 1930s to the 1980s, an earthenware factory that has now become a museum. A cross in relief decorates the font, making it an object that is both sober and modern. In good general condition, see photos. 5 cm x 10.5 cm x h 10.5 cm.
