Samara desk and chair set by Derk Jan de Vries for Maisa Di Seveso

This elegant desk is part of the rare 'Samara' series, designed by Derk Jan de Vries for Maisa Di Seveso in the 1970s. The collection is considered an important example of organic and functional design from that period. The desk is made entirely of solid ash wood, with the wood grain playing a key role in its appearance. The rounded shapes soften the clean lines and give the whole a calm, almost sculptural balance. The front features two side drawers with round grip cutouts and an open middle compartment, creating a functional and light composition. The original Samara chair from the same collection is included with this desk.
