Teak vanity table with an integrated flip-up mirror and sculpted side supports. Scandinavian production, 1960s. The vanity table is built around a carefully balanced relationship between function and visual lightness. European production. A solution widely adopted in Scandinavian furniture of the 1960s, the top incorporates a 35 × 41 cm flip-up mirror that transforms the piece into a practical vanity while closing flush to create a clean, uninterrupted surface. The sculpted side supports, connected by a lower stretcher, are the defining feature of the design. The continuity of the lines, the precision of the joinery and the shaped upper edge of the mirror, which discreetly serves as a finger pull, recall the design language developed in Denmark by designers such as Arne Hovmand-Olsen, Johannes Andersen and Kai Kristiansen, whose work celebrated craftsmanship and carefully considered construction over applied ornament. Good condition. It may show some signs of age and use. Please pay close attention to the photographs. AG479.
