Studio ceramic jug with sprayed glazes, circa 1960-70. Turned jug with a generous silhouette, featuring a remarkable speckled glazing with pictorial accents. On a ferruginous brown background, projections of yellow, green, and black glazes overlap, creating a vibrant surface rich in variations of texture and firing. This free treatment of the surface aligns with the aesthetic of European studio ceramics from the 1950s to 70s. The ample body, pinched spout, and sculpted handle enhance the artisanal and sculptural character of the piece. The body is highlighted by a discreet circular groove shaped on the wheel, a detail that accentuates the silhouette's construction and reflects the potter's gesture. Unsigned and unattributed work. In very good condition, Note a slight loss of glaze at the edge of the spout and under the handle, visible in the photographs.
