Pair of garden rose vases made of Brockwitz carnival glass, 1915

🌹 adopt this magnificent pair of carnival glass garden rose vases by Brockwitz for an original and refined interior 🌹 In orange, these vases have the unique feature of emitting multiple reflections depending on the light projected onto them. The floral designs add a touch of poetry to these unique vases 💫 Carnival glass achieves its iridescent shine through the application of metallic salts while the glass is still hot from pressing. A final firing of the glass brings out the iridescent properties of the salts, giving carnival glass the distinct brilliance for which it is known. This iridescence produces reflections of all colours, somewhat like oil on the surface of a puddle.
