Large Pressed-Moulded Glass Vase "Swan" - Art Deco Style - Satin Glass & Enhanced with Pink - France, 20th Century. DESCRIPTION: Superb and large vase made of thick pressed-moulded glass, depicting a majestic swan. The design is very sculptural: the body of the swan, formed by its outstretched wings with finely moulded relief feathers, serves as the vessel. The long graceful neck of the bird curves to form an elegant handle. The glass features a beautiful satin finish (frosted) on the reliefs, contrasting with the transparency of the base. The whole is delicately enhanced with a "peach blossom" pink gradient on the neck and the details of the swan's head (beak and eyes). This model recalls the productions of major French glassworks such as Portieux, Vallerysthal, or Bayel, typical of the mid-20th century. It is a heavy piece (over 1.2 kg) and very decorative. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No visible chips or cracks. The glass is clear and the pink colouring is well preserved.
