Sumptuous pocket tray in alpaca (silver-plated alloy), made in Mexico between the 1960s and 1980s. Several hand-stamped hallmarks appear under the piece: NAVA (artisan-workshop), ALPACA, and MEXICO. It is crafted using a traditional metal weaving technique, where fine strips of metal are hammered and then assembled in a chevron pattern. This process gives a very textured finish, characteristic of mid-century Mexican artisanal style. Woven alpaca is a flexible material, It is not rigid like a piece of solid silver, The shape may slightly change when pressure is applied, This flexibility is typical of this type of craftsmanship. Dimensions: 5.5 cm in height, 12 × 12 cm. Original patina, consistent with its age.
