Rare porcelain plate with a saturated cobalt blue decoration. The design features a pagoda, typically Chinese: a lakeside landscape with a fisherman in his boat and a pagoda. The rim is adorned with a wavy rockwork border in a saturated colour. Provenance: likely Japan, early 20th century. It will easily fit into both classic and modern interiors, adding a touch of exoticism to your decor. Dimensions: 25 cm. Condition: perfect, no chips or cracks. Beautiful translucency (see photo). There are tiny black inclusions of metallic oxide, which is quite normal; it is a reaction from the firing process, similar to those found in antique porcelain.
