Exceptional and authentic Egyptian tapestry from the 1970s, stemming from the prestigious tradition of the workshops founded by Ramsès Wissa Wassef, a global reference in textile art. A true unique work of art, it has been entirely handwoven according to the principle of "spontaneous creativity", without preparatory drawings or models, making each piece absolutely singular. Its remarkable decoration of the Tree of Life, populated by numerous stylised birds inspired by Egyptian fauna, unfolds a composition that is both poetic, symbolic, and highly decorative. Made from textured wool on a cotton warp, it captivates with the richness of its natural shades of beige, ochre, terracotta, and brown, obtained from traditional vegetable pigments. Its elegant vertical format (147 × 71 cm excluding fringes) makes it an ideal piece to enhance a contemporary, bohemian, ethnic chic, or Mid-Century interior. Preserved in very good vintage condition, with colours that remain vibrant and wool that is perfectly maintained, it shows only a discreet visible warp thread at the lower edge, a testament to its entirely artisanal character. A rare, refined work, rich in history and character.
