Antique 19th century Qing Dynasty hand carved console circa 1860, China.

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and very rare 19th century hand carved Chinese Qing Dynasty Hongmu console. This is a very attractive, well-made, collectible and decorative console. It can be used simply as a piece of art furniture, being hand carved all over with lion paw feet and, on the second tier, beautifully carved koi fish. There is ornate pierced Mudan flower floral carving around the fretwork edge and more. The piece has been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom, and it will show plenty of patina marks from genuine age and honest use, all of which add to its look and feel. The marble top has an old crack, and the original marble has not been replaced, but a new piece can be provided if desired.
