Nineteenth-century French carved chair with red velvet

This lovely 19th-century French chair was made around 1860 of hand-carved wood. Notable features are the metal ornaments and the carved crest with initials. The chair has been completely reupholstered in striped red velvet. The striped red velvet makes a beautiful contrast with the dark carved wood – classic, yet with a distinctive character of its own. An elegant chair for the hallway, bedroom or desk, in a classic or eclectic interior. Dimensions: height 102 cm, width 50 cm, depth 57 cm, seat height 45 cm. Material: carved wood, metal, velvet.
