Scandinavian sofa designer Ingmar Relling for Ekornes, 1960s

This Scandinavian sofa was designed by Ingmar Relling and produced in Norway by Ekornes Svane in the 1960s. It has been completely reupholstered in a French designer fabric, treated to be fire-retardant, Aqua Clean (stain-resistant), and Oeko-Tex certified, and with Bultex foam. It has a medium to firm density, ensuring good support. It prioritizes both comfort and elegance. Three average-sized people can sit comfortably on it. Its teak frame has been cleaned and waxed. The seat lifts up onto a small hammock-style storage compartment. One of the sofa cushions can be moved onto the shelf to extend it and create a guest bed or daybed. We chose yellow for its sunny feel, which will complement many interiors. The fabric has a soft touch. It is in very good condition. H76 x W192 x D72.
