Vanity unit converted into a washbasin unit.

I am delighted to present the founding prototype of my collection of large washbasin furniture. Born from an exciting technical challenge in my workshop, this large piece embodies the meeting of the elegance of antique furniture and contemporary functionality. This piece is derived from an antique dressing table with four drawers and a mirror, typical of the beautiful Alsatian houses from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is recognisable by the simplicity of its design and the exceptional quality of its solid oak. The furniture was acquired from a family in La Petite Pierre (Alsace). Renovation and Adaptation (Prototype): - Sandblasting of the furniture followed by a medium oak stain and a protective varnish. - Re-polishing of the marble, which was very dull. - Cleaning and deoxidation of the brass elements. - Raising the furniture to make it functional. - Drilling the marble and modifying the drawers for water inlets and outlets. - Modifying the mirror frame to accommodate LED lighting. Note on Condition (Preferential Price): This prototype is offered at a favourable price to compensate for minor irregularities related to its creation process (irregularities in the white support of the lighting, final colour slightly darker than expected). Nevertheless, it remains a unique piece full of character. Materials and Authenticity. Marble Top: The original marble top is in good condition, showing some superficial scratches and small impacts. These discreet marks testify to its history and authenticity. Solid Oak Furniture: The oak structure is robust and has a warm patina. Detailed Dimensions. The plumbing connections should be done by a plumber, and the electrical connection by an electrician. Please allow a week before shipping, to receive the basin and mixer, as well as to drill the back of the furniture according to the measurements of your home.
