Set Cocoon & Charel armchairs by Bart van Bekhoven for Artistiek, 1990s The Netherlands. Although the two chairs feature different designs, they were intended by Van Bekhoven to complement each other and form a harmonious pair. Both chairs are upholstered in warm cognac-coloured sheepskin leather, which has developed a beautiful natural patina over the years. The Cocoon chair features a sculptural, rounded body with a distinctive curved base, while the Charel chair has a more traditional appearance with its raised wooden legs. Despite their differences, the chairs share similar proportions, curved backrests and upholstery details, creating a clear visual connection between them. The chairs remain in neat vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. The leather has acquired a rich, warm patina that adds character to both pieces.
