A superb three-piece stoneware set by ceramist Daniel Auger, comprising a coffee pot, a milk jug, and a matching sugar bowl. Full, generous, and perfectly balanced forms, with earthy glazes featuring natural ochre, sand, and warm brown drips, typical of the great stoneware of Puisaye. Each piece interacts with the others in an organic, almost mineral harmony, offering a sculptural presence that is as beautiful in use as it is simply displayed. Daniel Auger began his career in Accolay before settling permanently in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye in 1973, where he took over the workshop of potter Jean Gaubier. There, he developed a production deeply rooted in the tradition of French stoneware, renowned for the quality of its glazes and the precision of its forms. All three pieces are signed “dA” on the base. Ideal for lovers of handcrafted ceramics as well as for contemporary interiors seeking character. Coffee pot: height 24 cm, base diameter 13 cm, neck diameter 10 cm Milk jug: height 10 cm, base diameter 9 cm, neck diameter 8 cm Sugar bowl: height 12.5 cm, depth without lid 9.5 cm, base diameter 13 cm, neck diameter 9.5 cm All three pieces are stamped "dA" for Daniel AUGER. The set is in excellent vintage condition, with no cracks or chips, and a glossy finish. An iconic example of Puisaye ceramics, perfect for a wabi-sabi chic setting.
