Partner desk with two burr walnut drawers and a leather top.

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely partner's desk with two pedestals, handmade in England around 1880 in burr walnut and brown leather. An attractive and well-crafted desk, the wood's patina is beautiful, as is the brown leather top, which is made of thick full-grain leather rather than cheaper leather. It has been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom, showing a slight normal patina here and there, but overall it is in very good condition. Dimensions: Height 78.5 cm, Width 136 cm, Depth 55 cm, Leg space height 61.5 cm, Leg space width 57 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouse. Condition: Please refer to the very detailed photos that are part of the condition description. Note that vintage and original items like leather seating always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. It is recommended to regularly wax to preserve moisture and to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for hand-dyed leather, as this can dry it out and discolour it.
