Dirk van Sliedregt Pair of Lounge Chairs for Gebr. Jonkers 1952

Nice pair of easy chairs, model 514 + 514a, designed by Dirk van Sliedregt in 1952 for Gebr. Jonkers Noordwolde, Netherlands. The chairs have a black powder coated steel frame and a rattan bucket seat. The seat is attached to the frame by a leather belt at the backside. One high and one low back version. Great chairs by the most important Dutch designer of rattan chairs in the 1950s and 60s. The chairs are part of the collection of the Nationaal Vlechtmuseum in Noordwolde. The chairs are in good condition. Both have some rattan restaurations. The leather belts are renewed some time ago. The metal frames have some normal wear.
