Iconic chair, dsr model by charles and ray eames for herman miller. This is an original edition, not a vitra reissue plastic shell. The black fiberglass shell is signed under the seat with the herman miller logo in relief. Chrome eiffel base. The seat and base are in good vintage condition with small traces of use. There is a micro crack (± 10 mm) on the edge at the transition from the seat to the backrest which does not affect the stability, robustness, comfort or aesthetics of this magnificent chair. Charles & ray eames, were a couple of american designers and architects. They created pieces of furniture within the eames office that have become iconic. They are considered among the major designers of the 20th century, having been able to evolve design towards mass production by bringing technical innovations. Among their works on fiberglass are the chair, the stacking chairs and the dsr with the eiffel base.
