Walnut buffet sideboard, Louis-Philippe style – 1900

This walnut sideboard perfectly embodies the understated and refined elegance of the Louis-Philippe style. Its harmonious façade is structured by a moulded upper drawer, whose soft lines highlight the quality of the woodwork. It is equipped with a key and a functional lock. At the bottom, two walnut doors reveal beautiful framed panels with mitred corners, whose natural grain adds warmth and character. A pair of decorative strips rhythmically enhances the centre of the façade, reinforcing the elegant presence of the piece. The interior holds a lovely surprise: three storage drawers, perfect for organising table linen, accessories, or documents. The base of the piece is accentuated by a rounded plinth, typical of the style, which softens the silhouette while providing stability. At the front, the bracket feet add a final touch of robustness and balance.
