Antique Italian burr walnut sideboard, 1930s. A splendid antique sideboard/credenza made from richly figured burr walnut veneer and solid walnut, showcasing striking matched grain patterns on the front, sides, and top. The piece features a serpentine front with two side-hinged cupboard doors and a central drawer with a mirrored cabinet behind a glass door, providing generous storage space, elevated on solid walnut Queen Anne style cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The warm honey-brown walnut veneers are complemented by decorative iron hinges and pull handles, while the shaped apron enhances its graceful silhouette. The symmetrical veneering and flowing lines reflect the influence of early 18th-century English furniture, likely produced during the revival period from the late Victorian era to the early 20th century. Condition. Presented in very good antique condition, consistent with age and use, with minor expected surface wear, marks, natural wood cracks consistent with age and use, and age-related imperfections. Overall attractive appearance with strong decorative appeal. One brass handle is missing from the left inner drawer (see photos). There are signs of woodworm, preferably to be treated for better use.
