Antique burr walnut sideboard, Italian, 1930s. A splendid antique sideboard/credenza made from richly figured burr walnut veneer and solid walnut, showcasing striking matched grain patterns on the front, sides, and top. The piece features a serpentine front with four cupboard doors providing generous storage space, resting on elegant solid walnut Queen Anne style cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The bright honey-brown walnut veneers are complemented by decorative iron hinges and pull handles, while the shaped apron enhances its graceful silhouette. The symmetrical veneering and flowing lines reflect the influence of early 18th-century English furniture, likely produced during the revival period from the late Victorian era to the early 20th century. Condition. Presented in very good antique condition, consistent with age and use, with minor expected surface wear, marks, natural wood cracks consistent with age and use, and age-related imperfections. Overall attractive appearance with strong decorative appeal. Present are signs of woodworm, preferably treated for better use.
