Glazed terracotta amphora with twisted cord.

A handled amphora with a band, belted with a twisted cord neck, the shoulder adorned with a crown of raised nails. Terracotta with reactive glaze, shaped and glazed by hand in southern Morocco. Each piece is made to order: the colour, glaze drips, and dimensions vary slightly from one example to another. These variations are inherent to the process. Approximate dimensions: H 50 × Ø 25 cm.
