Iceland pendant ‘Hekla’ by Luthersson & Olafsson/Fog & Mørup

Set of two sculptural Iceland pendant lamps designed by Petur Luthersson & Jon Olafsson, produced by Fog & Mørup, model "Hekla". Less well known is the Icelandic connection in the lamp itself, which shares its name Hekla, domed shape, fiery core and (in winter months at least) colour with one of Iceland’s most active volcanoes – a 1, 491-metre stratovolcano situated towards the south of the country. Designed with layered aluminum slats to diffuse light evenly and reduce glare. Original white lacquered finish. Both lamps are in a good vintage condition.
