Large complete table service in Limoges porcelain with gilding, mid-20th century (LOT 1) Description: Large complete table service in authentic Limoges porcelain, dating from the first half of the 20th century (late Art Deco period or mid-20th century, between the 1930s and 1950s). This neoclassical and bourgeois-inspired service is distinguished by its timeless refinement, combining traditional curved shapes with an elegant gilded frieze on the borders (mixing paisley and lace motifs) and delicate sprays of golden flowers scattered across the surface of the pieces. The green mark on the back of the porcelain attests to its origin and quality of craftsmanship. Composition of the service (31 pieces): o 12 flat plates (diameter: 24 cm) O 6 deep plates (diameter: 22.4 cm) O 6 small plates (diameter: 22 cm) O 1 large vegetable dish with lid (32.5 X 18 cm) O 1 large oval platter (26 X 26 cm) O 1 large round circular platter (diameter: 29.8 cm) O 1 small circular dish on a pedestal (22 X 4.8 cm) O 1 small deep circular dish on a pedestal (22.5 X 6 cm) O 1 sauce boat with its saucer (19 X 8.5 cm) O 1 serving dish (24 X 14 cm) Condition: Excellent condition of the majority of the pieces, with the porcelain retaining all its shine. The gilding is generally well preserved with slight signs of wear scattered on some pieces.
