Reims Glassworks VMC antique round molded glass flower frog mounted in silver-plated metal

This superb vintage glass flower frog, round in shape, is made of molded glass and comes with its silver-plated metal stand. This vase is a creation of VMC of Reims and bears its original label "REIMS VMC Made in France." The Verreries Mécaniques Champenoises company was founded in 1911 near Reims. This ancestor of floral foam was used to decorate tables with pretty fresh flowers. More eco-friendly, since it is reusable. It has holes of varying diameters and depths for the flower stems. Simply fill it with water, then arrange the flowers. It can also serve as a pen holder for literature lovers, a scissor holder for seamstresses, a pencil holder for artists... Find a new use for it! It measures approximately 11.5 x 11 cm in height. In good overall condition, I note some signs of use and a deposit in the tubes, as well as some oxidation on the silver-plated metal.
