Charming little teapot from china in terracotta and beautifully worked in a very simple and refined way around 1900. Qing dynasty. Original color. Yixing terracotta teapots are called "memory" because the aromas of brewed tea are transmitted to clay, which is considered the best in china. Over time, your teapot will enhance the teas. The teapot has small holes before the spout so you can put loose tea or tea leaves directly into the water, without the need for an infuser or tea bag. Beak handle: 22 cm height 13 cm with cap yixing (jiangsu province of china) has seen the birth of generations of potters who hand-make teapots from the exceptional lands of the region. The factories today work from a stock of clay of their own and which they keep preciously, because the withdrawals in the surrounding quarries are now very limited. This teapot is old and will therefore remain a vestige of this craft.
